THE NEW SCENE FOUNDATION
Helping upcoming artists develop their careers and grow their audiences throughout the UK.

The New Scene Foundation was founded in 2020 at the start of the pandemic to provide opportunities for artists of high potential to break out into the industry and grow their audiences and ultimately their careers. As the initial purveyors of the much imitated “Lockdown Live” format, the NSF have so far produced five week-long seasons of professionally recorded concerts reaching over 26,000 views.
This was particularly important during the pandemic when gigs and other key networking opportunities had all been cancelled and many highly talented artists were struggling to get the traction they needed to develop their careers, leading many to sadly loose their hopes of a career in music altogether. Although times are different now, we believe the help we can provide is just as crucial in the ever changing world.
With important platforms like BBC Introducing threatened with funding cuts, many artists now struggle to imagine a viable career in music. Positioned as the 2nd largest exporter of music globally, the total UK music market contributed 4 billion to our economy in 2021. Without new artists, the affects this will have on the future of the whole UK creative industries could be catastrophic
We believe we can help change this trajectory.

With our help, developing artists we work with greatly benefit from collaborating with our professional recording and filming teams who bring a wealth of technical expertise and creative insight, ensuring that the artist’ visions are realised to the fullest potential.
This helps them gain a deeper understanding of the recording and filming process, which forms a crucial part of their future careers. Additionally, our team can provide a network of industry connections as well as our powerful platform to showcase their work. With exposure through our large social media platforms, we enable artists’ online presence to rapidly expand, getting them seen by key industry contacts such as radio presenters and tastemakers, label reps and A&Rs, as well as potential fans.
In the past we had helped bands go on sign great record deals (leading to invaluable opportunities to work with big name producers) and exponentially increase their fans and followings. One band gained 50k Instagram followers, another hit 13 million Spotify streams on their original song. That band’s streams bought in more than £100,000, which is a huge amount for them to invest into their career at this crucial early stage.

13,000,000 streams.
That’s how many streams one of the bands we worked with now has on their biggest song on Spotify alone.
After they played a live session in one of our Lockdown Live seasons, the band were discovered and signed by a label and have gone on to record and release some great music, whilst substantially growing their audience with committed fans.
