CINEMA QUALITY VIDEO AND SOUND
We started JORG Productions during the first lockdown, to deliver music to the world through live broadcasts when tours and gigs had all been cancelled.
For what we called “Lockdown Live”, we took over a theatre and invited bands from all over the country to come and perform sets, with tickets sold for donations in aid of the NHS Charities Together programme. During this, we were approached by ITV to fully produce pre-auditions for The Voice UK which we integrated into the last of our 5 week-long seasons.
Since then, we have ramped up our offering, working with some great people along the way!
Our vision is to create the highest quality video and audio production company focusing on recordings that aren’t necessarily in a controlled environment, like a studio or sound stage. So that could be live show recordings, stage performances, orchestral concerts, special location broadcasts, and pretty much anything else that involves video and music!
Having high quality video and audio has a real impact in standing out in the music scene in the country today. Our work so far has allowed artists to dramatically increase their audiences, create live albums, and successfully pitch to labels and publishers.
Our services are aimed as broadly as we can, towards management groups and record labels, new and established artists, orchestral groups, producers and venues: We believe there is no limit to the lengths we are prepared to go to get the best for the people we work for. Whilst we focus on certain services and groups, our business promotes flexibility and customisation as no one project is the same in this fast-paced industry!
In the last few years, we have taken on ever bigger projects; working with BMG; the largest management group in the world, an X Factor winner, providing audio for BBC Radio 2, and recording and managing our largest shows to date.
We have enjoyed extensive classical music work, beginning with Scottish Opera conductor Thomas Payne, initially recording a gala concert with his London City Orchestra in 2021. Since then, we have gone on to work with him on every concert with the orchestra to date, including a live broadcast from the world famous Cadogan Hall, home of the BBC Proms chamber music, and an opera gala directed by the prestigious Royal Opera House Jette Parker Young Artist, Eleanor Burke. This in turn led to us working on two of her own productions - with more in the diary for this year’s season.
We have also been lucky enough to work with leading quartets and world renowned soloists like English National Opera’s Nadine Benjamin MBE and the leader of the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Stephen Bryant.
At the same time, we’ve been working with pop and rock artists, including platinum-selling rock band The Quireboys on a series of behind-closed-doors concerts, streamed to audiences around the world. Thanks to rave reviews, we went on to film a night from their acoustic tour in Blackpool. Which in turn led to our largest show to date, recording the band’s first show with the original lineup from their debut No2 album in 30 years for a CD and Amazon Prime Video release.
To date, our video work has been seen by over 800,000 people, and our music has been heard by over 60,000,000 on every major broadcaster in the UK.
Our team consists of our audio engineer James, and cinematographer and editor Ollie, as well as a network of talented and enthusiastic collaborators who we bring in to assist on the larger projects.
James has spent time with Grammy Award winning mixer and producer Dan Grech over the last 5 years working on huge songs including George Ezra’s Shotgun and UK’s 2022 Eurovision entry Space Man by Sam Ryder, which was the UK’s best result for almost 25 years!
James has also worked on music with developing artists, which led to an introduction to work on the music mix for the current “Matchmaker” AutoTrader TV and Radio ads. Working with leading composer Paul Reeves, our music will be heard by 98% of the British population at least 14 times.
Ollie started making films from a young age on just about anything, learning filmmaking by himself. Being passionate about the visual side of things, he would be at every event he could improving and learning along the way. As a student, Ollie has won multiple awards at the National Student Television Awards.
